McKevitt Signs Organ Donor Card In Recognition Of ‘Donate Life’ Month
April 17, 2007

Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (R,C,I-East Meadow) is teaming up with state and national leaders in urging New Yorkers to learn more about organ, eye and tissue donation. In recognition of National Donate Life Month, Assemblyman McKevitt signs his organ donor card in front of Laura Krummenacker, who received an organ donation from her father, Larry, who volunteers to raise organ donation awareness.
It is critical for New Yorkers to improve the donation rate because at the time of their death, a single donor may help as many as 50 people. If you are interested in becoming a donor, you can sign up for the Registry by calling 1-866-NYDONOR (1-866-693-6667) or by visiting www.health.state.ny.us and clicking on the ‘NYS Organ and Tissue Donor Registry’ link.
