Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (R,C,I-East Meadow) will be hosting his Sixth Annual “Women of Distinction” ceremony to honor outstanding women from the 17th Assembly District.
“This prestigious award gives our community the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of all the extraordinary women who make our community a safer, better place to live,” said McKevitt. “This ceremony is an opportunity to tell these amazing women that their tireless work and unwavering commitment to family, friends and neighbors has not gone unnoticed.”

The awards will be presented on Saturday, August 11 at the VFW Post 5253 in Albertson, with a reception to follow. Nominees must be residents of the 17th Assembly District and 18 years of age or over. Nominations are due by Friday, July 13.
