March 26, 2009

Senator Betty Little (R,I,C-Queensbury) (seated left) and Assemblyman Tony Jordan (R,C-Jackson) (seated right) yesterday welcomed students from Salem Central School to Albany. The students visited the Capitol as part of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) program. Accompanying the students were Salem Central School Principal Dan Jordan (second row, right) and teachers Colleen Fish (second row, second from right) and Thomas McMorris (second row, third from right). Also pictured is State Trooper Glenn Violet (back row, right).
“I was happy to welcome a few of our budding future business leaders to Albany,” said Little. “These students represent our best and brightest, and it’s encouraging to see our young people taking on such an active role.”
“It was a great learning opportunity for the students whom I believe had a great time,” said Jordan. “I hope this opportunity taught them the importance of keeping themselves engaged with state government. With the economy the way it is right now, it’s important that we have programs like FBLA to cultivate our next generation of business leaders.”
