Jordan: Funding Restoration To Programs For Developmentally Disabled Is Example Of How Persistence Pays Off
Statement from Assemblyman Tony Jordan (R,C,I-Jackson)
June 17, 2013
“One should never have to accept the status quo if it is completely wrong, especially in the case of funding cuts to programs that support people with developmental disabilities. I am happy to report that persistent pressure on the Assembly Majority to restore these funds finally paid off – $90 million is being restored to programs that support our most vulnerable.
“When we’re in Albany, we must remember that we’re here to serve the people, and we must take care of those who need it most.”
