Barclay to Serve on Energy, Environmental, Ways and Means, Judiciary committees in Assembly; Minority Ranker on Insurance

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) has been appointed to continue as ranking Minority member on the Assembly Insurance Committee. In addition, he has been named to two new committees—the Energy and the Environmental Conservation committees. He remains on the Judiciary and Ways and Means committees. He also has been reappointed as Assistant Minority Leader by Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb.

“I’m pleased to be newly-appointed to the Energy and the Environmental Conservation committees this year. I look forward to advocating for bills on the Energy Committee that will help lower the cost of energy in New York, as well as expand opportunities in the nuclear and renewable energy markets. I also look forward to influencing our Environmental Conservation laws as bills are vetted first in these committees. I hope to advocate for farmers and outdoorsmen in particular on these committees,” said Barclay.

Assemblyman Barclay was elected in November to his fourth term to serve the 124th Assembly District. In Oswego County, this includes the towns of Richland, Albion, Mexico, New Haven, Scriba, Fulton Granby and Volney, and the cities of Oswego and Fulton. In Onondaga County, this includes the towns of Lysander, Camillus, Elbridge, Marcellus and Skaneateles.
