Tenants in Action
January 15, 2013

Assemblyman William Boyland Jr. (55th Assembly District) and New York City Housing Authority General Manager Cecil House met recently with Brownsville public housing tenants at the Marcus Garvey Houses to discuss ways to increase recreational programs at local developments.
Assemblyman Boyland and NYCHA officials both expressed a strong commitment to addressing tenants needs and securing additional funding for community programming activities. Currently, NYCHA offers tenants an assortment of programs, including chess, computers, mathematics, reading, writing and chess.
NYCHA’s education programs are geared toward helping youths and adults acquire knowledge, skills, confidence and self-respect. For more information, call (718) 498-8681.
