Great Neck - Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel recently attended the 2nd Annual Asian American Heritage Festival hosted by the Town of North Hempstead at Bar Beach in Port Washington. The focus of this year's event was China, India, Japan, Korea, and Pakistan. The day included performances from children, cultural food and clothing shops, and attracted approximately 5,000 people.
