I introduced and have passed into law A9504 (2008) that entitles the Roosevelt School District an additional $12 million above the school aid pursuant to the “normal” State formula.

This is the law, therefore, please be advised the Roosevelt School District shall continue to receive its $12 million in the 2012/2013 State budget.

My desire is to ensure the students of Roosevelt have a fair opportunity for education in order for them to compete in a global society.

I trust this will meet the approval of the Roosevelt School District School Board.
