Dear Constituent,

This letter is to invite you to an informative evening for mothers and children and anyone interested in the well being of mothers and children. On May 27, 2004, I will sponsor a forum on Maternal and Infant care along with Queens Hospital Center, Queens County perinatal Council and other key providers of care to these populations.

This forum will provide timely information on a variety of topics, including:

• Nutrition
• Breast Feeding
• Lead Poisoning
• Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
• Substance Abuse and Maternity
• Low Birth Weight Babies
• Perinatal Depression

In addition, there will be information about the WIC and PCAP programs for eligible applicants as well as details on free transportation to doctor's appointments for those who are eligible. Details about parenting classes will also be available as well as screening for Pregnancy, Blood Pressure and Diabetes.
