Getting results for Staten Island seniors

“I was recently appointed to the Assembly’s Committee on Aging where I will focus on ensuring that seniors have a great quality of life – not just quantity of life. Through my committee work, I will be able to help improve health care and make sure services are available to meet the needs of our growing senior population.”

Providing significant tax relief

  • Single taxpayers and heads-of-household will receive a $30 increase, to $145

Working to improve health care

  • Janele helped restore more than $10.4 million to Staten Island University Hospital and over $1 million to Richmond University Medical Center

  • She also fought to restore more than $1 million in proposed cuts to Carmel Richmond Nursing Home and Lily Pond Nursing Home

  • Janele is sponsoring legislation to ensure more seniors have access to prescription drugs by raising the income limits on the EPIC program (A.7422)
