After a very busy Legislative session, I am looking forward to spending the summer with friends and family in the Bronx.

Please mark your calendar for the third annual “Movies on the Green” series in our neighborhood parks. Bring your family, friends and a blanket to enjoy some quality time and great flicks. Don’t forget our concert series which includes Doo-wop, Motown, Albanian and salsa performances that are sure to be a hit with adults and kids alike. (See below for dates and details)

In August, with the help of Community Board 11 and the generosity of Beth Abraham Family of Health Services, the Bronx Central Council for Economic Development and I will host the second annual Allerton Avenue Street Festival. Please join us as we celebrate and support our local shopping district and listen to some great musical performances while browsing the sales.

I look forward to a busy and rewarding summer! I hope to see each and every one of you out enjoying our great neighborhood in the Bronx.
