“As the holidays approach, please remember that drinking and driving is extremely dangerous and with these new laws a DWI conviction could result in a felony on the first offense. I wish you a healthy and safe holiday season!”

UNDER THE NEW LAW
SPONSORED BY ASSEMBLYMAN ZEBROWSKI:
- On your first offense it is a felony to drink and drive with a child under 15 in the
car!
- An ignition interlock device must be installed in the vehicle of a person convicted of
any misdemeanor or felony DWI. This device checks a person’s blood alcohol content (BAC) in
order for the car to be started.
- These strict laws will prevent tragedies that are caused by reckless use of alcohol and
driving.
