Assemblyman Zebrowski wants you to know what the 2011 Tax Reform Law means for you
“These new tax cuts will provide our hardworking families and local businesses with much-needed relief to help jumpstart our economy.”
– Assemblyman Zebrowski

Assemblyman Zebrowski recently cut taxes for 4.4 million New Yorkers and eliminated the MTA payroll tax for many small businesses and all Rockland County schools.

The new law:

  • Eliminates the MTA payroll tax for almost 7,000 small businesses in Rockland County
  • Reduces the MTA payroll tax for over 100 companies in Rockland County
  • Exempts the MTA payroll tax for all public and private elementary and secondary schools (Ch. 56 of 2011)
Assemblyman Zebrowski voted to restructure the tax code, putting more money in the pockets of Rockland County families by:
  • Generating $1.9 billion and helping to close a budget shortfall
  • Saving Rockland County families between $200 and $500 a year
