Assemblyman Marc Butler has a plan to lower your Prescription Drug and Health Care Costs!

The Butler Plan
will help seniors save
money on prescription
drugs and health care

Here’s how:
  • The Butler Plan will allow seniors with incomes less than $60,000 to claim up to a $1,000 annual income tax deduction to offset rising prescription drug costs

  • Increase the tax credit for long-term care insurance to 25% of premiums paid

  • A Health Care Electronic Billing system to increase efficiency, accuracy and response time by curbing health care costs and stopping fraud and abuse

  • Crack down on Medicaid waste, fraud and abuse that costs taxpayers $4.5 billion annually and drives higher insurance premiums

  • Require prior Insurance Department approval of HMO premium rate adjustments to protect families from skyrocketing rate increases

“Seniors should come first. That’s why I’m fighting to keep their prescription drug costs down!”
