  • Ensure Employee Health Insurance – Provide a tax credit to small businesses that purchase insurance.

  • Reverse New York’s Nursing Shortage – Establish scholarship and loan programs for nursing students to increase the number of talented, compassionate caregivers who are often the very first provider patients meet.

  • Create EPIC Extra – Allow certain seniors to claim an annual income tax deduction of up to $1,000 to defray the cost of prescription drugs.

  • Provide Long-Term Health Care Insurance – Provide seniors a Personal Income Tax credit for ten percent of the cost of long-term health care insurance premiums.

  • HMO Premium Adjustment – Protect individuals and businesses from higher health care premiums.

  • Elderly Dental Insurance Coverage (EDIC) – Help seniors gain access to much-needed routine and comprehensive dental care.
