"Sportsmen & Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day"

Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua) today addressed the
first annual "Sportsmen & Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day,"
which he and the Assembly Minority Conference sponsored at the Legislative Office Building in
Albany this afternoon. Kolb and his colleagues joined National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO
& Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre and several hundred outdoor enthusiasts from
across the state to discuss the positive economic impact that sportsmen have on New York’s
economy, generating over $1 billion annually.
Other honored guests who attended and spoke at today’s legislative event included Tom King,
President of the NYS Rifle and Pistol Association; Ken Mathison, President of the Shooters’
Committee on Political Education (SCOPE); Larry Rudolph, President of the Safari Club International;
and James A. Rabbia, Plant Manager for Remington Arms.
