State Government is BROKEN - Assembly Minority Leader Kolb Has a Plan to Fix It!

“State government isn’t working for taxpayers. By enacting reforms such as term limits, initiative and referendum, a People’s Constitutional Convention, along with a property tax cap and state spending cap, we can give taxpayers the less costly, more responsive government they deserve.”
– Brian Kolb
Assembly Minority Leader
Brian Kolb is leading the fight to fix our broken state government by championing comprehensive, non-partisan reforms.

This spring, he took part in “Albany-on-the-Record,” a first of its kind, non-partisan public forum on the issue of reforming state government. Numerous good government groups have publicly recognized Brian Kolb for his strong support of non-partisan reform.

Brian Kolb signed the New York Public Interest Research Group’s (NYPIRG) “Pledge for Change” to restore the public’s trust, reform state finances and curb the power of special interests. Kolb also signed NY Uprising’s three reform pledges in support of independent redistricting, ethical government and responsible budgeting.

Brian Kolb hosts a Town Hall Meeting on the “People’s Constitutional Convention.”
“I applaud Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb as a ‘Hero of Reform’ for signing the three NY Uprising pledges.”
— Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch
Founder, NY Uprising

Brian Kolb’s Plan: Reform

+ Term Limits
Ensure we have a government of public servants and citizen legislators, not career politicians, by limiting the number of terms Legislative Leaders and legislators can serve

+ Initiative & Referendum
Give taxpayers the power to put important issues on the statewide ballot and bypass the political bosses and special interests in Albany who want business as usual

+ People’s Constitutional Convention
Empower taxpayers to take their state government back by convening a People’s Convention to enact long overdue fiscal and governmental reforms. Go to www.reformny.org to learn more

+ Property Tax Cap & State Spending Cap
Break Albany’s reckless addiction to fiscal irresponsibility by imposing hard caps on how much it taxes and spends
