Leading the Fight for Ethical Government
Taxpayers are tired of Albany’s ethical scandals and culture of corruption.
So is Brian Kolb!
That’s why Brian Kolb has led the fight to strengthen New York’s ethics laws and clean up state government.
Earlier this year, he co-sponsored bi-partisan ethics reform legislation (Assembly Bill A.9544) supported by many good-government groups. Even though Governor Paterson vetoed the bill, Brian Kolb will keep fighting until New York’s ethics laws are the strongest in our nation.
Former NYC Mayor, and Founder of the reform group “NY Uprising,” Ed Koch recognized Brian Kolb as a “Hero of Reform” for signing NY Uprising’s three pledges in support of independent redistricting, ethical government and responsible budgeting.
- Expand public disclosure of outside income for state officials
- Strengthen oversight of ethics and campaign finance laws
- Create a truly independent “ethics watchdog” for each branch of state government
- Eliminate the public pension of any state official convicted of a crime
- Establish an independent Legislative Redistricting Commission to take partisan politics out of the drawing of Assembly and Senate districts
- Convene a “People’s Constitutional Convention” to reform the broken institution of state government
That’s BRIAN KOLB’S Agenda.
