As a businessman, Bill Reilich knows that owning and operating a small business in upstate New York is no easy task. That’s why Bill introduced the Small Business Improvement Act, which will help small businesses succeed by creating a pro-business climate in New York state to help create local jobs.

Bill Reilich’s Small Business Improvement Act:
  • Allows small businesses to focus on selling goods and growing jobs by helping them cut through red tape and government regulations through the use of new technology;

  • Requires the state to purchase their goods and services from local businesses to keep local jobs in New York; and

  • Introducing new and innovative grant programs to educate small business owners and revitalize downtown business districts.

In addition to the Small Business Improvement Act, Bill Reilich has sponsored 18 pieces of legislation to help small business owners retain existing jobs and promote new job growth throughout New York state.

Bill Reilich, Chairman, Minority Small Business Task Force
As chairman of the Assembly Minority’s Small Business Task Force, Bill Reilich has traveled to over 25 communities to listen to the concerns of small business owners across the state. Bill Reilich knows that small businesses are the backbone of New York’s economy. That is why he is leading the fight in Albany to lower taxes and reduce regulations in order to improve the state’s economic climate and create good paying jobs.
Bill Reilich chaired a public hearing of the Minority Small Business Task Force to gather information on the future of New York’s economy.
“New York’s small businesses define our communities and are the core of New York’s economy. Unfortunately, high taxes and burdensome regulations are hurting these businesses. Bill Reilich is working to change this by lowering the cost of doing business and is a strong voice for small businesses in Albany.”
