Governor Paterson’s budget
includes 137 new taxes and fees
that will cost New York families
almost $4,000 a year!

Governor Paterson’s other proposals will:

Restore the sales tax on clothing and footwear under $110;
Increase the sales tax on entertainment, such as movies and sporting events;
Raise the state sales tax on fuel;
Enact a state sales tax on cable, internet and satellite radio and music downloads; and
Tax drinks such as non-diet pop, beer and wine.
