The state of our economy:
Government doesn’t create jobs, businesses do. That’s why I’m working to create a business-friendly environment that grows jobs and puts New Yorkers back to work.—Tom O’Mara.
  1. Lowering taxes to make the state a more affordable place to own and operate a business and create an environment that encourages job creation.

  2. Reducing energy costs to help our region’s businesses become more competitive and allow them to create and retain more jobs.

  3. Utilizing economic incentives like Empire Zones, Power for Jobs and IDAs to make the state a more attractive place to run a business and help current employers create and retain jobs.

  4. Strengthening partnerships between the region’s colleges, BOCES and local manufacturers to provide young New Yorkers with employment opportunities and give businesses the skilled workforce they need.
