2008-2009 STATE BUDGET

NYS Seal

Dear Friend:

In January, Governor Spitzer submitted his $124.3 billion New York State budget to the Legislature. I hope that the charts below will help to illustrate for you where the money for the State budget comes from and where it goes.

On the reverse side of this newsletter is a survey seeking your perspective on a number of issues that may come before the State Legislature. Your views are very important to me, so please take a moment to complete the questionnaire and return it to my Albany office. Everyone who responds will receive a tabulation of the results.

I will continue to keep your thoughts in mind as I address the various issues that come before me this year. If you have any questions, please contact my district office at 664-7773 in the southern part of Chautauqua County or 672-7050 in the northern part of the county, or email parmenw@assembly.state.ny.us.
