One way to start is to contact the Recruitment Unit of the Human Resources Department and provide a resume and other background information including writing samples, if appropriate. Depending on your experience and qualifications, you may be offered a screening interview either in person or via telephone. Your resume may then be made available to Assembly staffs having openings consistent with your skills and interests. The offices with openings will contact you directly for a follow up interview.
Hiring for Members and central staff in the minority party is handled through the Minority Administration and Personnel Office, which follows a similar procedure.
