General Budget Conference Committee Accepts Reports On Agreements
By Joint Budget Subcommittees

Co-chair of the Public Protection Budget Subcommittee, Assembly Codes Committee Chair Joseph Lentol presents the subcommittee's report to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Senate Majority Leader Bruno and other members of the General Budget Conference Committee.

Silver and Bruno accepted reports on Friday prior to members of the Assembly and Senate meeting on Saturday in their respective chambers to pass budget legislation in time for the 2008-2007 state fiscal year.

Education Subcommittee Chair Catherine Nolan, chair of the Assembly's Education Committee, explains to the General Budget Conference Committee the decisions the subcommittee reached to provide education funds to the state's public school districts.
