On The Passing Of The Honorable Warren M. Anderson

With profound sadness, the New York State Assembly acknowledges and mourns the sudden passing of the Honorable Warren M. Anderson. During his long and distinguished tenure as Temporary President and Majority Leader of the New York State Senate, Warren Anderson helped guide this state through a difficult period of economic and social upheaval. Among his myriad contributions to our state, Senator Anderson will be remembered for his staunch support of educational opportunity and for his leadership in establishing the Tuition Assistance Program. Beloved son of the Southern Tier, Warren Anderson was and is one of the great leaders in the history of the New York State Legislature. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Anderson family, and to his many friends and colleagues.
