LEGISLATIVE ACTION
Legislative Changes
The Legislature provides $131,250 in funding for the continued
operation of the Cortland, Hoosick Falls, and Huntington Station
armories. In addition, Special Revenue appropriations are reduced by
$500,000 related to rejecting the Executive`s Article VII provision
which would allow the Division to preside over the sale of obsolete
or surplus property.
Article VII
The Legislature concurs with the Executive proposal to increase the
pay rate for National Guard members who are called to State Active
duty to $100 per day. In addition, the Legislature concurs with the
Executive proposal to allow members who have not completed basic
training to participate in the Recruitment Incentive and Retention
Program but adds language which will allow for reimbursement to the
State in the event the enlistment has been terminated. The
Legislature denies provisions which would have allowed the Division
to preside over the sale of its obsolete property.
Legislative Additions
The Legislature provides funding for the following:
ARMORY RESTORATIONS. $131,250
NEW YORK GUARD. $125,000
REAL TIME COMPUTER INCIDENT MANAGEMENT. $40,000
