        AN ACT to amend the  education  law,  in  relation  to  verification  of
          compliance in instruction in the humane treatment of animals

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 809 of the education law is amended by adding a new
     2  subdivision 7 to read as follows:
     3    7. Compliance records. The commissioner shall maintain records verify-
     4  ing school compliance with the provisions of this section and shall make
     5  such information available to the public, including on its website.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of July  next  succeeding
     7  the date on which it shall have become a law.
