        Introduced by M. of A. ABINANTI -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Health
 
        AN  ACT  to amend the public health law, in relation to adding autism to
          the list of conditions covered for lawful medical use of marihuana
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Subparagraph  (i)  of  paragraph  (a) of subdivision 7 of
     2  section 3360 of the public health law, as amended by chapter 273 of  the
     3  laws of 2018, is amended to read as follows:
     4    (i)  having one of the following severe debilitating or life-threaten-
     5  ing conditions: cancer, autism, positive status for human  immunodefici-
     6  ency  virus  or acquired immune deficiency syndrome, amyotrophic lateral
     7  sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, damage to the  nerv-
     8  ous  tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication of
     9  intractable spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel  disease,  neuropa-
    10  thies,  Huntington's  disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain that
    11  degrades health and functional capability where the use of medical mari-
    12  huana is an alternative to opioid use, substance  use  disorder,  or  as
    13  added by the commissioner; and
    14    §  2.  This act shall take effect immediately, provided, however, that
    15  the amendments to section 3360 of the public health law made by  section
    16  one of this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be
    17  deemed repealed therewith.
