        Introduced  by M. of A. SOLAGES -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation  to  prohibiting
          the  metropolitan  transportation  authority  from listing a gender on
          commuter tickets

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The  public  authorities  law  is amended by adding a new
     2  section 1266-l to read as follows:
     3    § 1266-l. Prohibition of gender information on commuter passes,  tick-
     4  ets  or  fare cards.  Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, the
     5  metropolitan transportation  authority  is  prohibited  from  listing  a
     6  gender on any commuter pass, ticket or fare card as a means of identify-
     7  ing the owner of such pass, ticket or fare card.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
