Go to topSTATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 5504 2009-2010 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY February 13, 2009 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. BOYLAND -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Housing AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in relation to requiring the division of housing and community renewal to provide a financial education course to certain persons with credit problems The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 14 of the public housing law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 6 to read as follows: 3 6. The commissioner is authorized and directed to provide a financial 4 education course to those persons who can prove that they have a credit 5 score under 620 as verified by a reputable credit reporting agency. The 6 commissioner shall promulgate rules and regulations which shall contain 7 the locations, dates, fees, admission requirements, and the curriculum 8 for such courses. 9 § 2.
