        Introduced  by  M. of A. LALOR, DeSTEFANO, FINCH, MONTESANO, RAIA, SALKA
          -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development
 
        AN ACT to amend the economic development law,  in  relation  to  company
          disclosure of employees having H1-B visas
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 47 of section 100 of the  economic  development
     2  law,  as  renumbered  by  chapter 427 of the laws of 2008, is renumbered
     3  subdivision 48 and a new subdivision 47 is added to read as follows:
     4    47. The commissioner  shall  require  any  company  receiving  funding
     5  pursuant  to  this chapter to disclose the number of its total employees
     6  issued an  H1-B  visa  by  United  States  citizenship  and  immigration
     7  services in the department of homeland security.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
