        Introduced  by  M. of A. CRESPO, COLTON -- read once and referred to the
          Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to school energy
          efficiency collaboration programs
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivisions 1 and 2 of section 1882 of the public authori-
     2  ties  law,  as  added by chapter 403 of the laws of 2016, are amended to
     3  read as follows:
     4    1. The purpose of the school energy collaborative program shall be  to
     5  reduce redundancies, raise awareness and promote the efficient implemen-
     6  tation of [public] school energy projects across New York state.
     7    2.  In  developing  this  multidisciplinary collaborative program, the
     8  authority  shall  work  in  partnership  with   the   New   York   power
     9  authority[,];  the  Long  Island power authority[,]; the state education
    10  department, including the office of religious and  independent  schools;
    11  the  New  York association of school business officials[,]; the New York
    12  state school boards association[,]; energy service companies[,]; utility
    13  programs and other school administrators.
    14    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
