AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to directing empire state
development to publish and maintain a list of available programs to
assist small businesses
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 170-d
2 to read as follows:
3 § 170-d. Programs to assist small businesses; publication of list. 1.
4 Empire state development, in cooperation with every state agency and
5 public authority in this state, shall develop and maintain a list of
6 programs offered by such state agencies and public authorities to assist
7 small businesses doing business within this state. For purposes of this
8 section, the term "small businesses" shall mean businesses with fifty or
9 fewer employees.
10 2. On or before the one hundred eightieth day after the effective date
11 of this section and on or before such date annually, every state agency
12 and public authority in this state shall provide to empire state devel-
13 opment a list of programs, including a brief description of each of such
14 programs, offered by such state agency or public authority to assist
15 small businesses doing business within this state and the contact infor-
16 mation for such program.
17 3. On or before the two hundred seventieth day after the effective
18 date of this section and on or before such date annually, empire state
19 development shall compile a list of all programs, including a brief
20 description of each of such programs, provided to it by state agencies
21 and public authorities in this state pursuant to this section. Such list
22 shall be made available on the empire state development website in a
23 clear and conspicuous location.
24 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
