HONORING the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand
Lodge of New York on the occasion of celebrating
Prince Hall Day 2025
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations and leaders of high purpose and
worthy accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare
of the citizens of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate Prince Hall Day 2025, hosted by the Most Worshipful Prince
Hall Grand Lodge of New York, under the esteemed leadership of Most
Worshipful Darren M. Morton, Ed.D., Grand Master, to be celebrated with
great pride and distinction across the jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, Prince Hall Day honors the life and legacy of Prince Hall,
a visionary leader, an abolitionist, and the founder of Prince Hall
Freemasonry in North America, whose principles of brotherhood, charity,
and justice have stood the test of time; and
WHEREAS, The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York
continues to uphold these timeless values, promoting civic engagement,
education, community empowerment, and charitable works, while providing
unwavering support to its members and the communities it serves; and
WHEREAS, The observance of Prince Hall Day 2025 provides an
opportunity for all Freemasons and members of the community to come
together to honor the enduring contributions of Prince Hall Freemasonry
to the social and cultural fabric of the State of New York and beyond;
and
WHEREAS, Under the visionary leadership of Most Worshipful Darren M.
Morton, Ed.D., Grand Master, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge
of New York has remained steadfast in its commitment to uplifting
humanity through acts of service, moral leadership, and dedication to
the common good; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the members of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York,
past and present, who have labored so conscientiously to secure and
improve the quality of life for the community it serves; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York, under
the leadership of Most Worshipful Darren M. Morton, Ed.D., Grand Master,
on the occasion of celebrating Prince Hall Day 2025; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Most Worshipful Darren M. Morton, Ed.D., Grand Master and
the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York.
