Senate Resolution No. 1851

        COMMENDING  the  Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall
        Order of the  Eastern  Star  upon  the  occasion  of
        hosting its Testimonial Luncheon on April 6, 2024
 
  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay  tribute  to  those  organizations  of  high  purpose   and   worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern  and  in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
commend  the Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star
upon the occasion of hosting its Testimonial Luncheon, to be  celebrated
on  Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Leonard's Plaza in Great Neck, New York;
and
 
  WHEREAS,  The  theme  of  the  Eureka  Grand  Chapter's  Testimonial
Luncheon is "Celebrating and Honoring our Leaders"; the esteemed leaders
of  the  Chapter  being  honored  at the event are Sister Yvonne Ladson,
Grand Worthy Matron, and Brother Paul W. James, Grand Worthy Patron, for
their remarkable guidance in the betterment of this institution; and
 
  WHEREAS, Worthy Matron Yvonne Ladson, through her strong leadership,
steady teaching, and unwavering love  for  her  community,  family,  and
Sisters,  has  shown  that  leadership  can  be done with true grace and
elegance; and
 
  WHEREAS, Worthy Patron Paul W. James has shown the strong  qualities
of  a  Master  Mason,  serving diligently while uplifting, lighting, and
showing the way for the Brothers of his Lodge as well as being a guiding
hand for his beloved Sisters; and
 
  WHEREAS, New York State recognizes the accomplishments of these  two
incredible  leaders  and shows appreciation for the purposeful work they
will continue to achieve in their communities; and
 
  WHEREAS, The success of the Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall  Order
of  the  Eastern  Star  is  in  direct correlation to the efforts of its
dedicated  members,  whose  involvement  is,  and   always   has   been,
characterized  by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on  behalf  of
the organization and the community it serves; and
 
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the  members  of  the  Eureka  Grand  Chapter,  Prince Hall Order of the
Eastern Star, past and present, who have labored so  conscientiously  to
secure and improve the quality of life for the community it serves; now,
therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star; and
be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That copies of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted  to  the  Eureka  Grand  Chapter,  Prince  Hall Order of the
Eastern Star.
