COMMENDING the Verona Fire Department upon the
occasion of hosting their 70th Annual Verona
Volunteer Fire Department Field Day on June 7-9,
2024
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Verona Fire Department upon the occasion of hosting their
70th Annual Verona Volunteer Fire Department Field Day on Friday, June 7
to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 5860 Rock Road in Verona, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1928, the Verona Fire Department protects the
lives and property of the Verona, New York community by providing
services in the event of fire, medical emergencies, and disasters that
may threaten the public welfare; and
WHEREAS, 2024 marks the 70th Anniversary of the first Verona
Volunteer Fire Department Field Day; the event will feature rides,
games, a parade, performers, and fireworks; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Verona Fire Department upon the occasion of hosting their
70th Annual Verona Volunteer Fire Department Field Day on June 7-9,
2024; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Verona Fire Department.
