        Introduced  by  Sen.  ORTT  --  read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation --  commit-
          tee  discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recom-
          mitted to said committee
 
        AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating  the  Scaja-
          quada pedestrian bridge as the "9.11 Heroes Bridge"

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section  256  to
     2  read as follows:
     3    §  256.  Scajaquada  pedestrian  bridge  to be designated as the "9.11
     4  Heroes Bridge". The pedestrian bridge that spans New  York  State  Route
     5  198, known as the Scajaquada Expressway, from Nottingham Terrace to Hoyt
     6  Lake  in  Delaware Park in the city of Buffalo, county of Erie, shall be
     7  designated and known as the "9.11 Heroes Bridge".
     8    § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the  instal-
     9  lation  and  maintenance  of  adequate signing as designated pursuant to
    10  section one of this act.
    11    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
