AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to counting ballots; and
to repeal certain provisions of such law relating thereto
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 9-110 of the election law, as
2 amended by chapter 474 of the laws of 2023, is amended to read as
3 follows:
4 3. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require or permit
5 early vote by mail, absentee or affidavit ballots to be canvassed at the
6 poll site on election day. Such ballots shall be canvassed pursuant to
7 section 9-209 of this article.
8 § 2. Section 9-114 of the election law is REPEALED.
9 § 3. Section 8-506 of the election law is REPEALED.
10 § 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
