        AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to removing the  lifetime
          ban  on  jury  duty  for  convicted  felons;  and  to  repeal  certain
          provisions of such law related thereto
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  3  of  section  510  of the judiciary law is
     2  REPEALED.
     3    § 2. Section 517 of the judiciary law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     4  subdivision (d) to read as follows:
     5    (d) The jury service of any person serving a term of incarceration for
     6  a  felony conviction shall be postponed while the person is incarcerated
     7  for such felony.
     8    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
