McDonough Partners With Town of Hempstead for Puerto Rico Relief Drive

Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) is partnering with the Town of Hempstead to gather supplies to benefit the struggling American citizens in Puerto Rico following a series of devastating hurricanes last week.

Items needed are: work gloves, baby food, non-perishable food, paper towels, toilet paper, blankets, socks, underwear, flashlights batteries and pet food. Items can be dropped off at Assemblyman McDonough’s District Office at 404 Bedford Ave. in Bellmore Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Our fellow American citizens in Puerto Rico are truly struggling, and I know we are a generous and considerate community that can step up and help,” McDonough said. “To experience such terrible earthquakes after Hurricane Maria is 2017 is simply heartbreaking, and I’m encouraging all who can donate to do so. Thank you to the Town of Hempstead and Town Clerk Kate Murray for spearheading and organizing these relief efforts.”
