Ra Outraged by Parole Board’s Decision to Spring Murderer Who Raped His Victim from Prison

A statement by Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square)

“The parole board is continuing its outrageous run of horrible decisions that insult victims’ rights and compromise public safety. Bruce Haims broke into the home of Pamela Sharon, his girlfriend’s best friend. When Pamela refused his advances, he raped her, then he beat her to death.

“This administration has sprung cop-killers, terrorists and now rapists who murder their victims from prison. They do so at the objection of law-enforcement officials, prosecutors and, most critically, the families of victims. The Sharon family no longer feels like the government is invested in their safety. How could they? This decision should be reversed immediately,” said Ra.
