“As we dive into this year’s legislative session, I am optimistic about key points raised in the Governor’s State of the State address, particularly attention given to the critical issue of mental health services. Empowering New Yorkers with increased awareness, accessibility, and affordability of mental health services is a necessary step to creating the healthy communities of our present and future.

We need concrete solutions – bolstering beds, allocating resources, and implementing new policy changes such as expanded out-of-network care – to truly uplift individuals and families. As we move forward, I am hopeful that the Governor’s budget address will provide a clearer picture of the financial commitments and priorities that will shape this year’s legislative session so we can take the lead in transforming aspirational, comprehensive and compassionate care into impactful legislative measures.”
