Assemblyman Anil Beephan Honors Viscount Wines & Liquor with New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry Recognition
EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. — Assemblyman Anil Beephan today recognized Viscount Wines & Liquor in Wappinger for its admission to the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry, honoring the business for more than 50 years of dedicated service to the community.
The Historic Business Preservation Registry celebrates businesses that have been in continuous operation for at least 50 years and have made lasting contributions to the economic, cultural, and civic life of New York State.
“Small businesses like Viscount Wines & Liquor are the backbone of our communities,” said Assemblyman Anil Beephan. “For generations, they have served local families, supported community organizations, and helped shape the character of Wappinger. It is an honor to recognize their remarkable legacy and ensure their contributions are preserved as part of New York’s history.”
Viscount Wines & Liquor becomes the sixth business nominated by Assemblyman Beephan to be inducted into the Historic Business Preservation Registry during his current term. Previous successful nominations include Royal Auto Parts, Dutcher Golf Course, East Fishkill Provisions & Smokehaus Deli, McHoul Funeral Home, and Page Lumber.
Assemblyman Beephan presented the official Historic Business Preservation Registry certificate to the owners of Viscount Wines & Liquor in recognition of the business’s longstanding commitment to serving the residents of the Hudson Valley.
