Assemblyman Ari Brown Observes Yom Ha'atzmaut

A Statement by Assemblyman Ari Brown in recognition of Israel's independence 75 years ago

Today, we celebrate Yom Haatzmaut, Israel's Independence Day. On this day, 75 years ago, the State of Israel was established, officially announcing to the world that the Jewish people had returned from the diaspora, from the harsh unwelcoming countries of Europe, from the ghettos and the concentration camps to become free in the land of their ancestors.

Yom Haatzmaut is a day of celebration and joy, as we reflect on the achievements of the State of Israel and the contributions Israel has made to the world. Israel has become a leader in technology, medicine and innovation, and has made significant contributions to the fields of science, art and culture.

As we celebrate Yom Haatzmaut, we also reaffirm our commitment to the State of Israel and to the Jewish people. We remember the sacrifices that were made to establish and defend Israel, and we honor those who continue to serve and protect Israel today.

On this day, let us join together in celebrating Israel's Independence Day and in reaffirming our commitment to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

Chag Sameach!
