Curran Presents Malverne with Grant Money

Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) recently presented the Village of Malverne with $75,000 in grant money. These funds will go to upgrade the Public Works building and a heavy-duty utility truck and snowplow to help enhance the quality of life within Malverne.

“Our local villages are the lifeblood of Nassau County, that is why I will always support them and do everything in my power to help. I want to thank Mayor Sullivan for his leadership. I know these funds will be put to good use and will be positive for everyone in the community,” said Curran.

“We are all plainly aware of the negative impact on our daily lives driven by runaway inflation. Our local municipalities have not been immune to the same financial pressures as we strive to provide exceptional and efficient services to our residents. Assemblyman Brian Curran recognized these challenges, and we are grateful for his continued support of the incorporated Village of Malverne to remain the safe, warm, charming and unique community that it is known for. As we transition into our new police headquarters this month, we turn our attention to the needs of our Department of Public Works where we will allocate this funding to replace an aged plow truck as well as upgrade a DPW building to provide more modern and comfortable locker rooms, meeting spaces and administrative offices for our dedicated employees of the department,” said Mayor Tim Sullivan.
