Maher Hosts 3rd Annual Honor Flight Veterans Day in Albany
Assemblyman Brian Maher (R,C-Walden) proudly hosted his 3rd Annual Honor Flight Veterans Day in Albany yesterday, recognizing and celebrating the bravery and sacrifice of local veterans. This special event, held at the New York State Capitol, brought together veterans, their families and supporters to honor those who have served our nation.
Honor Flight, a nationwide program dedicated to transporting America’s veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice, continues to make a profound impact on veterans and their communities. Maher, a longtime advocate for veterans’ issues, emphasized the importance of ensuring these heroes receive the recognition and respect they deserve.
“Our veterans have given so much to our country, and it is our duty to honor their service,” said Maher. “Hosting this event for the third consecutive year is a privilege, and I am committed to continuing our efforts to support and uplift those who wore the uniform.”
The event featured remarks from veterans, representatives from Honor Flight and state officials, highlighting the significance of supporting veteran services and ensuring every hero receives the honor and appreciation they deserve.
Maher remains dedicated to advocating for policies that support veterans, from access to health care and housing to ensuring they receive the benefits they have earned.
