Assemblyman Charles D. Fall & Wheelchair Charities, Inc. Provide Five Motorized Wheelchairs Valued at $100,000

Today, Assemblyman Charles D. Fall (D-Richmond) along with Wheelchair Charities, Inc. hosted an event to provide five custom fitted motorized wheelchairs, totaling in value of $100,000.

The partnership between the Assemblyman and the charity helped to provide state of the art equipment to five New Yorkers with disabilities. This includes West Brighton’s own, 18-year-old Evelize Jaimes. A motivated young lady who is a senior at Wagner high school.

Alongside Wheelchair Charities CEO, Henry Carter and Assemblyman Fall, guest presenters included Deputy Borough President Ed Burke, Imam Dr. Tahir Kukiqi, Albanian Islamic Cultural Center and Bishop Dr. Victor Brown. Mount Sinai United Christian Church.

The opportunity to be fitted with a custom-made motorized wheelchair is a dream that Wheelchair Charity has made a reality for so many.I am so proud to have been able to bring this great service to Staten Island and look forward to doing more events in the future.”
