Stec Pleased That Legislative Duties Are Resuming

A Statement from Assemblyman Dan Stec (R,C,I-Queensbury)
May 26, 2020

“Today, after almost two months since our last legislative votes, I was very pleased to join my colleagues virtually for a number of committee meetings,” said Stec. “It is a breath of fresh air to return to our legislative duties, and I hope that this is only the beginning. There is a lot of work that needs to be done and legislation that needs to be addressed before the end of session. As we continue to see a decline in COVID-19 cases throughout the state, health and safety remain our main priorities, but I am adamant to see the Legislature get back to business and an easing of the emergency executive powers the governor was granted. Although we are not yet in the clear, I think that the number of new cases and hospitalizations are on the decline and are moving in the right direction. Now more than ever we need the Legislature to stay on track, steer clear of politics and focus on resolving the real issues facing New Yorkers”
