McDonough Honors Anniversary of D-Day

“On this day 79 years ago, brave soldiers from the U.S. and her allies launched a daring landing on the beaches of Normandy. Code-named Operation Neptune, D-Day, as it is more commonly known, was the turning point in World War II in Europe. As a result, the Allied powers were able to push back and eventually defeat the Nazi war machine. Let's take this day to remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on those beaches, as well as everyone who took part in this heroic effort.”
