“The governor has outlined another ambitious agenda with many good items that will create more opportunities for our hard-working families and will have lasting, positive effects throughout the Hudson Valley. Alleviating the tax burden has been a top priority and it was great to hear that the governor makes that a key point today. This will give our middle-class families, farmers and small business owners’ much needed tax relief -- spurring economic development and creating jobs that our community needs.

“I was also thrilled to hear that the governor has heard the concerns raised by myself and so many folks in the community by calling for a responsible approach to expanding the energy highway and preferring transmission line projects that will be located within state owned and existing rights of way or underground. We must remain vigilant to ensure that there are no negative impacts on property owners and local communities.

“I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work on continuing to move our economy and our community forward.”
